The position involves overall supervision of the assigned service area patients in concert with additional leadership and interacts with health system departments, medical staff, and patient/families. The role requires overseeing and assisting with scheduling nursing staff to specific shifts, taking into account past utilization trends. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. The position also involves collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise.
