Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience - Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure - Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required upon hire.
  • Must obtain relevant specialty certification within 1 year of hire or promotion.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Nursing - Preferred
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience - Preferred
  • Additional leadership or healthcare administration coursework - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises assigned Nursing and Ancillary Services staff (e.g., Administrative Reps, Nursing Assistants, Unit Clerks, Ancillary Services personnel), including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development. Ensures productivity, quality of work, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinates clinical and administrative operations, including patient placement, resource allocation, and shift coverage. Acts as the primary point of contact for operational issues during assigned shifts.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintains financial integrity through budget oversight and resource stewardship.
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among nursing, ancillary, administrative, medical staff, and other departments. Promotes problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Supports quality improvement initiatives and evaluates staff development programs. Regularly rounds with physicians, patients, and families to enhance patient experience and care outcomes.
  • Educates patients and families on care plans, post-treatment needs, and hospital resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
