About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shit Supervisor 7pm-730am This full-time opportunity offers 36-hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient night shift schedule. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit—the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. Requirements

1-3 year psychiatric nursing experience at minimum.
Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

Management/ leadership experience strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
CPI Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Exercises independent judgment supervising the staff involved in providing nursing care and in the oversight of clinical areas during after- hours.
Works closely with all members of the treatment team and keeps both the physicians, Administrator-On-Call (AOC) and DON informed of issues that arise.
Controls FTEs and arranges staffing for nursing units in accordance with staffing grids, census and patient acuity.
Responsible for supervising all nursing service staff and using discretion, handles patient complaints.
Works closely with admissions regarding patients being admitted after hours and those being discharged.
Oversees all codes and ensures proper documentation.
