About The Position

The Stroke Program Manager, in collaboration with stroke medical directors and campus clinical leadership, are responsible for the coordination of clinical excellence in stroke care across the continuum of AdventHealth Orlando. The manager facilitates the development and implementation of stroke-related educational initiatives for staff, patients, community and emergency medical services. The manager leads campus interdisciplinary teams in performance improvement and the incorporation of evidence-based practice protocols into the daily operations of the stroke program. The manager is responsible for analyzing outcomes to determine root causes of variation and developing corrective actions to improve stroke outcomes and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field
  • Five+ years of acute care, critical care, neuroscience, or stroke related nursing experience
  • Two+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Current, valid State of Florida license as Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the development and deployment of stroke educational plans, communicating updates on outcomes, process changes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and reviews evidence-based clinical pathways to standardize stroke care, ensuring timely implementation and updates.
  • Evaluates stroke program metric performance, ensuring accurate reporting and sharing outcomes with committees and leadership.
  • Rounds on stroke patients to provide education and support, participates in multidisciplinary rounds, and responds to stroke alert events.
  • Serves as the stroke program clinical content expert, utilizing knowledge of clinical stroke evidence-based guidelines, national accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as the stroke program lead during accreditation site visits, collaborating with campus leadership to maintain accreditation.
