South Pointe Hospital’s 6 Medical/Surgical Unit is a fast-paced unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical conditions and diseases, such pneumonia, congestive heart failure, infectious disease, asthma, and COPD exacerbation, and is very experienced in ventilator management for chronic ventilator patients. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
