About The Position

Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the Seasonal team, you can fill vital roles on a contract basis (13 or 26 weeks) to provide critical coverage for peak seasonal demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Registered Nurse where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following: assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. The type of opportunity available: SYSTEM WIDE SEASONAL TEAM – Full Time, Limited tenure Scripps employee who supports assignments of 13 or 26 weeks. $9,000 Completion bonus available at the end of the initial 13 week assignment. Hourly rate $65.55/hour Seeking full-time limited tenure staff on varied shifts.

Requirements

  • 18 months of recent RN experience in an Stepdown department within a hospital setting
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS prior to start
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
  • Will be assigned to all of the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego, Torrey Pines, and Chula Vista
  • Full Time (72 hours per 2 week pay period)
  • 13 week Seasonal
  • 12 Hour Night Shift opportunity
  • Working the first 2 assignments in Tele/Med Surge, but has the ability to float to higher acuity patients as well
  • This position is benefit eligible, with ability to float to all five hospitals (Chula Vista, Hillcrest, La Jolla, Green, and Encinitas)
