About The Position

Registered Nurse - Stepdown position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. This is a Per Diem Nights position and also qualifies for a sign-on bonus! Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services, this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of California Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the Stepdown Unit. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.

Requirements

• One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred.
• Critical Care course required for new grads and RNs with less than one year experience within 9 months of start date.
• Current California RN license required.
• Basic Arrhythmia Certificate or 12-Lead EKG Certificate preferred.
• ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
• Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.
• CCRN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of Hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assume accountability for all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act.
• Maintain standards of nursing practice and ensure optimal patient outcomes in the Stepdown Unit.
• Supervise all categories of nursing personnel.
