About The Position

This is a Full Time, 12 Hour DAY Shift, a position benefits eligible, located at both our Memorial Hospital in La Jolla as well as our Green Hospital in La Jolla. The RN in the Float Pool will float between Scripps La Jolla, widely known for the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and Scripps Green Hospital campus recognized for their transplant program and spine services. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, busy atmosphere and appreciates the lean processes that the leaders and care teams are striving towards. As RN in the Float Pool, you will have the opportunity to float to Definitive Observation. Enjoy the variety working for the Float Pool brings along with self-scheduling and 4-week scheduling which provides maximum flexibility.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment.
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Progressive Care experience highly preferred
  • Medical, Surgical, Telemetry and Definitive Observation experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
  • Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
  • With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
