RN - Staff Nurse Resource Pool Level 1
About The Position
Resource Pool (RP) Level 1 RNs are part of a team of caregivers who provide staffing support to a variety of general care units. Assigned units will be within the Level 1 RN's skill level and could include: General/Specialty Units: Medical/Surgical Unit Hematology/Oncology Unit Progressive Care Unit Technology Dependent Intensive Care Unit Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Neuroscience Unit Emergency Department (Minor Care) Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Level II All Level 1 RP RNs are supported by the general care unit leadership and reports to the Resource Pool Manager.
Requirements
- Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
- Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred.
- Successful completion of a general care pediatric nurse orientation and can independently take a patient care assignment.
- 1 year experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaboratively shared leadership environment.
- CPR, PALS training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- RN certification preferred.
- BSN is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
- Plans, provides, and monitors specific patient needs following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
