Don’t miss the opportunity to join our team at WashU Department of Colon Rectal Surgery! This group consists of 3 providers, 3 medical assistants and a nurse. The group collaborates well with one another and with the other sections in the office. Clinics move efficiently and RN/MAs work closely together to provide excellent patient care both inside and outside of clinics. Clinics ranging with 10-20 patients in a half day. Patient population is surgery or procedure eligible patients with a medical condition associated with colon and rectal surgery. RN would be responsible for assisting the provider with patient care – including pre-op education, post-op care including wound and/or ostomy care, benign anal/rectal conditional care, and daily patient triage and medical questions or concerns. Although a part of WashU, this specific clinic is a bit smaller than the average and provides close staff and faculty working relationships. This section provides excellent patient care and continues to grow with their patient population. Day to day responsibilities will consist of half day of clinic and a half day of administrative/ patient triage. RN will be responsible for ordering exams or medications for patients, as instructed by the provider. Additionally, the RN will be responsible for follow-through care for pre- and post-op patients, specifically with patients with a wound or ostomy in place. The RN will provide thorough patient education and be a point of contact for any patient concerns or questions. This is a weekday, day time position. No weekends! No holidays!
