JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Interventional Radiology is open Monday-Friday 7a to 5p with nursing call after hours JOB SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks. Assists physicians in the performance of interventional radiology and other radiology procedures.

Requirements

• Combination of acute Med/Surg and critical care nursing required.
• Current LA RN Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required on hire or obtained with in 6 months of hire.
• Certification requirements vary per department.
• Must possess good physical health.
• Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
• Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

Nice To Haves

• Previous procedural and/or interventional experience preferred.
