Plans, develops directs and coordinates the orientation and in-service education program for all nursing employees to include staffing; assists other department managers as required. Actively involved with the planning, development, organization, implementation, coordination, and direction of the quality assurance and assessment program designed to enhance the quality of resident care, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long term care facility. Involved in human resources aspects of the facility including recruitment and retention of employees as well as employee counselling and progressive disciplinary actions. Coordinate CNA class.
