Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
ACLS American Heart E-Card (ACLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), ACLS Certification_non ecard (ACLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), ACLS Certification (ACLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS), ACLS Certification Grace (ACLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE) (Required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas; newly licensed RNs have six (6) months to obtain ACLS)
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
One (1) year of nursing experience.
ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RNs administering chemotherapy.
APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RNs administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting.
PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU (if RN is coming from a non-pediatric background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain PALS; newly licensed RNs have six (6) months to obtain PALS).
NRP certification required for NICU (if RN is coming from a non NICU background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain NRP).
Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RNs must be completed prior to completion of job orientation.
RN Fellowship Program requires one (1) year of RN independent practice not inclusive of nurse orientation.

Responsibilities

Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Evaluates learning needs of the patient and, or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and, or psychosocial support needs.
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
