  • Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
  • NRP American Heart RQI E-Card (NRP AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • NRP Certification (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate
  • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida
  • One (1) year of nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate for those RN's administering chemotherapy.
  • APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RN's administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.
  • PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU.
  • NRP certification required for NICU.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
  • May precept student nurses and new hires.
  • Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs.
