This position is bonus eligible for up to $7k. See qualifying details below. This is a full time, benefited position working 12-hour shifts generally from 0800-2330. Alternating weekends required. Why Jefferson Urgent Care? We are an extremely busy Urgent Care, conveniently located near the coast off I-5 and the 78. We are a high functioning Urgent Care where all of our providers and RNs come from an emergency room background. We provide high quality care for our North County community and inland areas efficiently and effectively. What you'll do: Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice. Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7k. The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: Internal candidates​ Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met​: Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)​ Must remain in original department/specialty​ Must remain in original Job Title​ Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active California RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS Healthcare Provider Certifications
  • Be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of recent adult emergency services experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Recent and/or extensive ED experience as an RN
