The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit. You will collect specimens for testing, assist the physician during procedures, maintain and stock the Special Procedure area, and be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings. You will provide relevant and complete documentation on patient-related activity and educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up home care. You will also assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
