RN | Special Care Unit (SCU)
About The Position
Logan Health Whitefish is looking for a skilled and compassionate RN to join their Special Care Unit (SCU) team on night shift! Logan Health Whitefish is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in the scenic ski resort town of Whitefish, Montana. We are in the heart of the Flathead Valley, which offers an endless array of outdoor recreation, skiing, hiking and biking trails, whitewater rafting, and the breathtaking Glacier National Park. About our Special Care Unit (SCU): Our unit is a focused 4-bed unit providing intensive, specialized care for adult patients who require more monitoring and support than a general medical or surgical floor, but who do not need ICU-level care. We care for patients recovering after surgery, those needing cardiac monitoring or advanced drips like insulin or alcohol withdrawal management, and occasionally pediatric post-op patients. Staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, the SCU combines teamwork and autonomy to ensure the best outcomes through vigilant, detailed care. Requirements
- Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
- Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS, ACLS certification
- AHA PALS (within 6 months of hire)
- Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred.
- Critical Care experience is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar position preferred.
