About The Position

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dearborn provides expert medical care with a focus on recovery, comfort, and long-term support. Whether recovering from surgery, illness, or managing a chronic condition, our skilled nursing and rehabilitation services provide advanced medical support in a warm, healing environment. Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with wound, ostomy or continence. Provides information and instruction to patients and their caregivers. Collaborates with and serves as a resource for other health professionals to promote delivery of quality services and patient education within the institution as well as the community. Participates in projects related to area of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing and developing and evaluating educational materials and programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing Required.
  • 1 year of relevant Clinical Nursing experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) 90 Days Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred.
  • Previous wound care experience or training Preferred.
  • WOCNCB Ostomy Care Nurse, Certified (COCN) 1 Year Preferred Or NAWCO Wound Care, Certified (WCC) 1 Year Preferred.
