About The Position

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.' You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. As a Registered Nurse in the Senior Health Center at our facility you be joining a hard-working team that is passionate about providing excellent patient care and committed to supporting one another.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
  • Associate of Nursing degree required; BSN preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • 1-2 years medical/surgical or outpatient clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically and continually assess the health and status of patients, assuring the application of age-specific standards.
  • Provide holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the unit.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the patient and patient's family and develop/implement patient care plans to include problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
  • Provide clear, concise, and pertinent direction to the care team based on resources, identified patient care needs, and nursing staff skill level and document critical incidents.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and evaluations of care.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of infection transmission.
