About The Position

The Horsham Clinic is seeking compassionate, trustworthy, and well-rounded Registered Nurses (RN's). If you are eager to make a meaningful impact in patient care, we would love to hear from you! For more than 60 years, The Horsham Clinic has helped children, teens, adults and older adults manage and overcome a number of mental health issues at its 55-acre campus nestled in Ambler, Pennsylvania. We have a total of 206 licensed acute beds and are one of the largest providers of acute inpatient services in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The Horsham Clinic also offers partial hospitalization services for children, teens and adults at our main campus in Ambler, and at our Chester County and Delaware County partial programs. Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors from an accredited Nursing School/Program required
  • Registered Nursing License required; license is in good standing
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience in addiction or inpatient psychiatric health setting preferred
  • Experience in creating and maintaining patient treatment plans preferred
  • EMR experience preferred; computer-based knowledge preferred
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strategic and empathetic decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu
  • Crisis intervention and activities of daily living
  • Coordinate, delegate, evaluate and monitor nursing care for a variety of psychiatric patients
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment
  • Flexibility for reassignment to various units/populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients
  • Know and comply with all confidentiality laws and regulations, e.g., HIPPA
  • Ensure patient and environmental safety by conducting unit safety checks and patient rounds observations
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively and efficiently with Doctors, Treatment Team, and other departments involving patient care
  • Perform contraband searches as needed
  • Oversee patient vitals; perform vitals as needed
  • Administering and monitoring medications under the supervision of a Physician
  • Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and oversee the workflow of the unit as required
