Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active-duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Requirements

Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky or (eligible to receive or renew).

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Assesses and documents initial data collection on patient admissions and subsequent reassessment at least once a shift according to policy and procedure.
Documents and communicates effectiveness of nursing interventions and the patient’s response to interventions in the medical record.
Communicates change of shift, accurate reports, verbal or written, of patients’ behavior, status, and issues requiring follow up.
Utilizes effective communication to orient patients to the program while explaining program/facility philosophy, policies and procedures to patients, families, and other staff.
Utilizes proper procedures in the application of special treatment procedures (restraint and seclusion) according to hospital policy and procedure and State of Kentucky Mental Health Laws.
