About The Position

Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their SAU/PACU team at M Health Fairview Lake's Hospital in Wyoming, MN. The Same Day Surgery nursing staff provides quality and compassionate care for patients before and after same-day surgery/procedure, as well as surgeries that occur before and during admission to the hospital. They offer emotional and educational support through preoperative phone calls, during the patient's stay, and with post-operative follow-up calls. Due to a rapid turnover of short-term patients, staff must possess good assessment skills, a desire to work as a team, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. This SAU/PACU nursing position involves working 48 hours every two weeks on rotating day/evening/night 8-hour shifts, with start times varying between 6 am, 7:30 am, and 10 am. The schedule requires call shifts during the week (1-2 weeknights/month), on weekends (every 6th-8th weekend), and holidays. The department's hours of operation are 5:45 am-8:30 pm. Fairview Health Services is an industry-leading, award-winning nonprofit healthcare network, part of M Health Fairview, a partnership between the University of Minnesota, M Physicians, and Fairview Health Services. Together, they combine clinical innovation and training with community medicine.
