The role involves providing professional nursing care for office patients following established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing program.
• Maintains current Vermont State License.
• Documented medical experience with full knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred, preferably in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Performs certain lab tests.
• Takes and records patients vital signs, immunization status, and brief history.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Cleans and autoclaves procedural equipment and instruments.
• Observes records and reports to physician patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, according to the nursing process.
• Oversees appointment scheduling, assures priority is given to patients in emergency situations.
