Horizon offers a unique nursing experience that incorporates a medical, behavioral, psychological, and holistic approach to patient care. Our residential setting allows you to witness a patient’s recovery journey over several months and truly get to know them. And, our residential team is more like one big family, not just coworkers! Conveniently located on Elm Street in downtown Buffalo, Terrace House is a 68-bed facility offering stabilization and medically-supervised detox treatment. We provide twenty-four hour care to adult men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $41.26 - $43.15. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. You’ll earn an additional 25% shift differential for your work hours that fall between the hours of 7 PM - 7 AM! Requirements

Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse License along with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university - required.

Nice To Haves

Professional experience with Behavioral Health Substance Use - preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist medical providers with medication management and integration appointments
Complete medical assessments
Provide education to patients that includes teaching preventative health and wellness skills to promote optimal health
Provide health education regarding comorbid conditions to our patient population
Provide education on smoking cessation
Perform touchless searches, conduct supervised toxicologies, and participate in room searches
Other duties as defined by the RN Manager
