The RN Resident I - Cardiothoracic Surgery Step-down position is located at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, specifically in the J5-3 Cardiovas Surg Stepdown unit, which encompasses 120 beds staffed for superior nursing care. This unit sees the most complex cardiac cases worldwide, including patients receiving coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair or replacement, and minimally invasive or off-pump coronary bypass surgery. The RN Resident will be part of a comprehensive training program, working alongside seasoned nurses who are eager to educate and coach new graduates. The residency program includes a successful coach available 24/7, a 12-week new graduate orientation, weekly check-ins, personal assessments, and numerous opportunities for professional growth and development.
