About The Position

EvergreenHealth's RN Residency Program consists of group practicums and lectures that support the graduate RN to mitigate the education-to-industry gap. We foster growth in the clinical, professional, and transitional aspects of professional nursing practice. The Residency program incorporates collaborative team support by managers, preceptors, and clinical nurse educators. RN Residents are required to have an active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license and a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date of August 18, 2025. Must be able to start program on August 18, 2025.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington by August 18, 2025
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification by August 18, 2025
  • WA state drivers license
  • Proof of Car Insurance
  • Able to start on August 18, 2025

  • Master's degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  • Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  • Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  • Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  • Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  • Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  • Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
