About The Position

Centrally located within the heart of California, Adventist Health Tulare has been serving the Central Valley since 2018. We are comprised of a 108-bed acute care hospital, emergency department and provide primary and specialty care services to best serve our community. Tulare is situated in a delightful and geographically diverse region. There are a variety of opportunities for all-season outdoor recreation such as camping, hiking, water and snow skiing, fishing and boating. It is also within an hour's travel time to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities. This role delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The position supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
  • AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
  • All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
  • Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues.
  • Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
  • Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
  • Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
  • Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
  • Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members; and directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
  • Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
  • Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
