This position is 7:00pm-7:00am with varying weekdays and every other weekend rotation. The RN Resident Care Services supports the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role helps ensure high-quality resident care and serves as acting Director in their absence, upholding all established care policies and standards. What You'll Do as a CLV RN Resident Care Supervisor: Assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating all nursing services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Help maintain current nursing policies, procedures, manuals, and job descriptions; recommend revisions as needed. Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of resident care. Monitor nursing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with care standards and resident preferences. Support quality assurance initiatives and participate in surveys, audits, and committee activities. Assist in staffing functions, including recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluations, and in-service training. Participate in developing and reviewing care plans, discharge plans, and assessments with the interdisciplinary team. Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are met and clinical standards are upheld. Observe and monitor medication administration, treatment schedules, and physician compliance with documentation. Address staff complaints and grievances, escalating as needed to the Director. Ensure nursing staff follow care plans and facility procedures, providing guidance and corrective action when necessary. Perform direct nursing care as needed, including covering shifts and working every other weekend. Maintain adequate inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment. Support safe and effective clinical operations, including infection control and emergency procedures. Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, and implementation of committee recommendations related to nursing services. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience; supervisory or management experience preferred. Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the State of Maryland. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public. Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care. Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology. Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations. Physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 20 pounds using safe handling practices. May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations. Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies or valid exemptions.
