Emergency nurses are frontline workers providing emergency care in a community based critical access hospital. An emergency nurse provides critical care in fast-paced and often high-stress situations, managing acute injuries and illnesses with expertise. They perform rapid assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate with physicians and other medical professionals to stabilize patients. Their role demands both technical skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions to ensure the best outcomes in urgent scenarios. As charge, you will provide professional nursing leadership during assigned shift, guiding and assisting the nursing staff in the daily operation of the unit. Assumes the responsibility for adequate staffing for the next shift as well as during the current shift closing the unit as necessary. Makes room assignments for patients and staff. Communicates directly with management and administration as needed.

Requirements

  • You must be a Registered Nurse with a current WA license.
  • Three-years ED RN experience required.
  • ACLS and CPR, PALS, and TEAM or TNCC certification within six months of hire.

  • Bachelor/Masters of Science in Nursing
  • Certified Emergency Nurse
  • Trauma/Stroke/Cardiac facility experience
