Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to work 24 hours a week, with varied every-other-weekend and various 4pm-12am shifts. There is an opportunity to pick up additional PRN hours. New graduates are welcome to apply, and hospice/homecare experience is not required as specialized training will be provided. The role emphasizes hands-on, patient-centered care, with nurses being an integral part of Delaware Hospice's mission and interdisciplinary team. The On-Call Nurse functions under the direct supervision of the Hospice Director, adhering to the philosophy, objectives, and policies of Delaware Hospice, Inc. This exempt position may involve caring for pediatric patients, with specialized training available for the Katybug team, which helps children from perinatal to young adult find relief from pain and symptoms in their homes, while offering families practical resources and emotional support. The nurse will be part of a team including a Medical Director, Certified Nursing Assistant, Social Worker, Chaplain, Adult and Child Bereavement Counselor, and Volunteers, all assisting with the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families. Delaware Hospice, established in 1982, provides high-quality hospice and healthcare services, serving as a trusted community partner in end-of-life education and support. Its mission is to support individuals, families, and communities with compassionate and expert care for serious illness. Accredited by the Joint Commission, Delaware Hospice is a licensed, nonprofit, community-based hospice serving Delaware, and also provides care in Pennsylvania (southern Chester and Delaware counties). Services are offered through various programs at the Delaware Hospice Center, in private homes, or acute and long-term care facilities.
