UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center's STD Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN). WORK SCHEDULE: 100% FTE, 40 hours/weekly Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Sexual Health Clinic at Harborview is a Public Health-Seattle & King County service that provides confidential STD and HIV evaluation, screening, testing and treatment on a sliding-fee scale. The clinic can be accessed on a walk-in basis. If you need to be seen later than 3:30 p.m., please call our clinic to make sure we are still accepting patients for the day or contact the King County clinic website. Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
  • At least 3 years of experience working with vulnerable populations (people living unhoused, mental health, substance use) and experience with outreach
  • BLS

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Triage
  • STD Testing only visits (under standing orders)
  • Treatment only visits (under standing orders)
  • Conduct PrEP visits
  • Wound care for HIV care clinic
  • EPIC triage -- responding to patients, reviewing test results and triaging treatment needs
  • Patient counseling and education
  • Administer vaccines and injectable STI treatments
  • Assist with vitals and rooming
  • Administrative duties include: Lab, pharmacy and other clinical supply inventories
