About The Position

Hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for Skilled Nursing Facility. Make a Difference on Your Own Schedule and Terms! We are seeking compassionate RNs / Registered Nurses to work within our client's facilities, providing follow-through of the physician-established plan of treatment and working under the supervision of the RN Supervisor. Five Star believes that qualified nurses are advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities.

Requirements

• Currently holds an active RN license to work in New York.
• CPR Certified (BLS or ALS accepted).
• Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility.
• Strong patient assessment skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record medical histories.
• Take and record vital signs, collect samples for lab testing.
• Administer medications and perform approved procedures and care.
• Monitor patient condition and compose patient charts.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients' families to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Provide supervision to CNAs and LPNs and assist as necessary.
