About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • RN License issued by the State of California.
  • BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
  • Minimum of three years of active nursing experience.
  • Recent ambulatory orthopedic clinic/triage experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification.
  • ACLS and/or ART certification.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and educate patients regarding their orthopedic questions and concerns.
  • Manage calls and messages in the in-basket according to department guidelines.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for items requiring licensed personnel.
  • Collaborate with the orthopedic RN team, APPs, and providers to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure optimal care for patients through effective communication and teamwork.
