Job Duties: Supervises nursing personnel and coordinates activities of the department. Provides nursing care or support for patients in all age groups. Plans and organizes the daily activities of the department in adherence with the requirements mandated by regulatory requirements. Functions in a 50% administrative/50% clinical capacity. This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; 8-hours shifts; Monday through Friday; 8:00a.m.-4:30 p.m. A minimum of 2 years RN work experience is required. Ensures efficient and productive workflow. Develop staff work and call schedules and approve time off requests through a fair and reasonable process. Ensures appropriate and complete staff education and training. Completes performance evaluations. Thoroughly evaluates and responds to staff ideas and suggestions. Responds to staff concerns and recommends disciplinary action when necessary. Participates in the formulation of nursing policies and goals as well as policies affecting other departments; communicates and interprets policies, procedures, and regulations to patients, visitors, and staff members as required. Provides appropriate information; recognizes team accomplishments, gives feedback, constructively resolves conflicts and sets the example for professional conversation and behavior. Ensures regulatory compliance is understood and communicated to the staff. Identify and develop short and long-range plans to correct deficiencies. Arrange and is responsible for the interview, selection process and hiring of new staff. Work within the guidelines established through Human Resources to ensure appropriate processes are maintained. Maintains staffing schedules to support the goals for patient satisfaction and department performance Triages complaint calls from patients, employees, or visitors. Collects and analyzes patient and provider complaint and grievance data to identify opportunities for performance improvement in a collaborative role with management. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years RN work experience is required.
