About The Position

This member of the REACT multidisciplinary psychiatric treatment team is responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; and sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited RN school of nursing
• One year of RN experience required
• Strong commitment to the rights and abilities of persons with severe and persistent mental illness
• Skills to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses
• Respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment
• Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three years' nursing experience
• At least one year of experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting
• Experience in research studies
