Our workplace culture focuses on treating patients and co-workers like family. You'll work with people who value your advancement and help you find your niche. Together, the 30-bed medical unit and 8 bed intermediate/progressive care unit equip RNs with fundamental critical care experience in mechanical ventilation and provide a solid nursing foundation focusing on safe patient outcomes. Nursing staff collaborate with the interdisciplinary team involving case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacist, and physical therapists as well as many specialty providers to provide patient-centered care. Patient diagnosis range from pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, and pulmonary embolism to complex cases requiring nursing skills for oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, chest tubes, tracheostomies, post procedural care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, in addition to cardiac monitoring. The diverse patient population and supportive family culture of the Pulmonary Unit provides a great atmosphere to advance in nursing skills while developing critical thinking, time management, and patient care priority skills that seamlessly transitions patients as needed to a higher level of cardiopulmonary care. We're looking for positive, compassionate, hardworking registered nurses (RN) who can provide the high-quality care patients and families have come to expect from us. In our fast-paced work environment, the registered nurses who thrive are adaptable, great communicators, detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills. Because innovation impacts everything we do, our nursing team is full of critical thinkers who aren't afraid to ask tough questions. Whether you're a newly graduated registered nurse or have years of experience as an RN, we want someone willing to work closely with our nursing leaders to advance the organization.
