About The Position

This recruitment offers a $10,000.00 Recruitment Incentive to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center has an opportunity for an Perioperative Register Nurse to join us in our New Outpatient Surgery Center. The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five operating room surgical unit with supporting pre-operative, post-operative, and sterile processing departments. The New Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campus is located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and will open January 2026 to patients. The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and sterile processing. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-of–the-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Center’s innovative, patient-centered culture, supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless, low-stress surgical experience for each patient, surgeon, and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy. As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
