The position is for a registered nurse (RN) in a 28-bed unit specializing in orthopedic and surgical care located within an Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Sanford South University campus. The main focus is caring for patients undergoing elective orthopedic surgeries and total joint replacements. Nurses work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and providers to ensure optimal patient care. The unit is known for its fast-paced environment and teamwork culture, leading to positive outcomes for both employees and patients. Opportunities for self-scheduling and ongoing support during and after orientation are provided. Sanford Health has achieved Disease Specific Certification Designation from The Joint Commission in various orthopedic care areas and promotes continuing education for specialty certifications.
