About The Position

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Employee Health Team. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. You will participate in all aspects of the Occupational and Employee Health & Safety Program(s), providing quality care to employees in accordance with corporate/hospital policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. The position involves maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, performing pre-employment screenings, annual health screenings and tests, and immunizations. You will also serve as the initial source of medical evaluation and reporting for employee work-related illnesses and injuries, and provide consultation and first aid as needed. This role requires a commitment to promoting consistent, positive patient interactions and adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • 2 or more years experience in Nursing required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in all aspects of the Occupational and Employee Health & Safety Program(s).
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Performs pre-employment screenings, annual health screenings and tests, and immunizations.
  • Serves as the initial source of medical evaluation and reporting for employee work-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Assigns employees to appropriate level of care and provides consultation and first aid.
  • Serves as case manager for work-related exposure, injury, or illness.
  • Evaluates and investigates all incidents, coordinates medical interventions and work absence/light duty assignments.
  • Conducts follow-up to determine appropriate resolution.
  • Promotes interdisciplinary approach for the identification, tracking, and resolution of employee health issues.
  • Maintains all logs, periodic reports, employee files, and databases.
  • Provides necessary employee health education on wellness initiatives, safe work practices, and occupational health programs.
  • Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
