About The Position

Northeast Georgia Health System is rooted in a foundation of improving the health of our communities. About the Role: Job Summary Neuro ICU is an 18- bed Critical Care Unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. Neuro ICU serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. The unit provides comprehensive care to neuro patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. The unit cares for patients with: Ischemic stroke including those patients undergoing thrombectomy Hemorrhagic stroke including intracranial hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage and patients s/p coil embolization Cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure Abnormal electrical activity of the brain for patients with intractable seizure Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS Patients with hemodynamic instability and/or airway and respiratory compromise

Requirements

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
