About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, permanent Med Surg opportunity in Hudson, Florida.

In this role, the Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care environment. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
• Compact license holders must obtain active Florida licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care RN experience strongly preferred.
• Candidates with 2–3 years of LTACH experience will be considered and trained.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Basic PC skills required.
• Onsite interviews are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and monitor patient response.
• Maintain and review patient medical records, including posting test results and examination findings.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining safety, quality, and service excellence standards.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage patient needs in a fast-paced acute care setting.
