On 2 Lynch you will care for a diverse population of pediatric patients as well as post-partum and med‑surg overflow patients.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Current RN license
  • BLS – Basic Life Saving Certification
  • Obtain NIH Stroke Certification during 90 day orientation
  • ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required with in 6 months of hire
  • RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, implement, and evaluate the Patient Plan of Care and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes and serve as a strong patient advocate.
  • Ensure timely implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Demonstrate appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in providing patient care.
  • Apply sound critical thinking and clinical judgment in all aspects of care.
  • Assess, analyze, and communicate patient information in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and promptly document all assessments, interventions, patient responses, and provider communication.
  • Assess patient safety risk factors and identify patients requiring specific safety interventions, including skin integrity, fall risk, and appropriate use of restraints.
  • Follow all medication safety policies and promptly initiate appropriate safety interventions.
  • Complete required Safety Tracking Tools.
  • Provide effective delegation and supervision, ensuring all assigned staff deliver appropriate care.
  • Report performance issues to support safe, high‑quality patient care.
  • Assess the educational needs of patients and families, provide appropriate written and verbal instructions, and document all education provided.
  • Perform ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of provider orders in a timely manner every shift.
  • Prioritize responsibilities based on urgency and patient needs; utilize appropriate resources and problem‑solve independently.
  • Multitask efficiently and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Maintain professional accountability by seeking additional clinical experiences, assisting colleagues, and accepting additional duties as needed.
  • Complete all assigned education and annual competencies on time.
  • Actively participate in unit‑based councils and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Recognize unit needs and contribute to effective solutions
