Gundersen Health System is seeking exceptional RN’s to join our dedicated and passionate Labor and Delivery team in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. As the only high-risk peripartum unit in the region, Labor & Delivery provides cutting-edge evidence-based care to pregnant, laboring, and post-partum patients in a collaborative, lively, dynamic environment. Through strong professional relationships and top-notch teamwork, the Labor & Delivery team works hard to provide individualized care for pregnant persons and their chosen support/families as they navigate the most medically acute portions of their pregnancy and birth journeys. The unit utilizes 7 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 ORs to care for over 1,800 delivers per year, and twice as many triage/antepartum patients. In addition to OB/Gyn doctors, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Family Medicine Doctors, our robust nursing team are experts on acute perinatal care that supports both physiologic birth and surgical delivery. We pride ourselves on offering a spectrum of support for laboring/birthing patients that range from high-touch/low-intervention (water therapy, aroma therapy, 1:1 coaching and support) to high-acuity/high-intervention (IV pain medication, Epidural anesthesia, PCA nitrous oxide, surgical delivery) and everything in-between. Regardless of labor course or delivery method, we offer person-centered coping support, and education. Our goal is empowered birth, for every patient, every time. What you will work: .75 FTE – 60 hours every two weeks 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm-7:00am) Every other weekend and two holidays per calendar year Provide hands on care delivering the same high level of care to all patents, high and low risk Work closely with obstetricians, midwives and RN’s in a collaborative environment What you will get: Opportunity to work with a strong team that delivers over 1,800 births per year Growth opportunities and access to Gundersen's Career Development Center to help you navigate your career Departmental leadership that supports you as you do your best work including a Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Professional Development Nurse, and Quality Improvement Specialist Nurse. Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • RN licensure to work in the state of Wisconsin
  • BLS for healthcare providers
