About The Position

The Interventional Radiology department is a fast-paced procedural area caring for a various acuity of inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult patients. The Interventional Radiology Nurse will rotate through the CVIR and NVIR rooms and work strongly with technologists and proceduralists. The facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and IR cares for approximately 450 stroke patients annually. Critical thinking and comprehensive assessment skills are required to integrate patient needs, establish priorities, and strive to achieve clinical outcomes.

Requirements

Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
RN with three (3) or more years critical care or emergency department experience required, must be within the last two (2) years.

Nice To Haves

Previous Interventional Radiology experience
Previous experience administering Moderate Sedation
Must possess knowledge of critical care, to include advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and basic cardiopulmonary life support certification
BSN preferred
