About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse. The ICU is a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring with 15 individual rooms for patients. RNs consistently maintain 1:2 nurse to patient ratios and work in close partnership with intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants. The position involves providing life-saving care to critically ill patients and joining a close-knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration. Requirements

  • 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers
  • Follow evidence-based nursing practices
  • Provide bedside care for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes
  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs
  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

Benefits

  • BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
  • Certification premium - $1.25/hour
  • Night premium - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend premium (Fridays and Saturdays) - $4.00/hour
  • Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
  • Overtime pay
