Unit Description As a RN on our General Medical PCU at Banner Del Webb, you will work on our combined unit including both a 15-bed private room unit as well as our 29-bed semi-private room unit utilizing your knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data, plan and provide high quality, safe and efficient care for our patients. This unit participates in our Progress In Place initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions and we serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients. Whether a patient is post-surgical, or one who is battling a COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, pancreatitis, renal failure or hypoxia, you will have the opportunity to drive their plan of care and maximize your nursing practice. Our RNs utilize critical thinking to drive patient care and outcomes. This is a unique assignment-based PRN position, meaning that you will be dedicated to only one specific unit at this facility. No floating to any other unit or facility. We have both Day and Night shift openings, 6am - 6:30pm and 6pm-6:30a m with a 2 shift per month minimum, specific to this unit This position offers a generous 18% night-differential and an additional flat rate weekend differential of $3/hour when applicable. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
