About The Position

The position is within the Float Pool department, requiring full-time night shift work from 7 AM to 7 PM at UAB St Vincent's East - Trussville. The role involves providing direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, coordinating care among various disciplines, and executing physician and nursing orders.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
• One (1) year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
