About The Position

The Procedural RN at BayCare is responsible for providing independent nursing care to a specialized group of patients, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to clinical standards. This role involves delegating patient care activities, ensuring professional accountability, and participating in the development of nursing practices according to recognized standards. The RN may also take on the responsibilities of a preceptor and charge nurse as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of acute care experience or 1 year of interventional/procedural experience.
• 6 months of RN acute care or interventional/procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license required.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by department.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
• 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service.
• Procedural experience is preferred.
• Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred.
• Preferred Bachelor's in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Independently care for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members.
• Ensure professional accountability and development according to best practice standards.
• Perform the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
