About The Position

The Nurse position involves providing both routine and complex care in a clinical setting, demonstrating independence and awareness of various patient needs. The role requires the ability to manage clinical situations effectively, make appropriate assignments, and delegate tasks to other care providers. The Nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for assigned patients, while also addressing their psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process to provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Administers medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
• Plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care and functions during assigned shifts.
• Incorporates patient safety practices to promote a safe environment.
• Participates in resourcing efforts and assesses departmental staffing needs.
• Educates and trains others on operations, ethics, and regulations within the industry.
