About The Position

Join our team and be a part of something extraordinary as part of Legacy’s Group Home Nursing. Group Home Nursing Located on Legacy’s main campus in Mount Holly, NJ, the Nursing Station supports 8 group homes. The site is also home to the Mary A. Dobbins school. All Youth served are special needs youth or mental health diagnosis with mood Dysregulation. Youth attend groups after school provided by interdisciplinary team members. Youth ages range from 12 to 21 years old. The RN position provides psychiatric nursing services to children and adolescents with special needs and mental health diagnoses, working in collaboration with a supervisory Psychiatrist through verbal and electronic communication. Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of three years of psychiatric nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse License in New Jersey or multistate license
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to manage physical crises and potential exposure to communicable diseases are required

Responsibilities

  • Conducting 2 one-hour health groups per week
  • Attending required meetings
  • Assessing and interpreting consumer data, and delivering age-appropriate developmentally informed care
  • Educating staff on medications and reviewing medication logs
  • Supporting multidisciplinary teams, families, and community partners
  • Other duties as assigned
